  3. Hello, Fyrfly! I made the eyes, nose and mouth out of fondant and just piped the fur with buttercream.

  5. Hello, Shawn! Thanks for those nice words! I used buttercream icing and "no taste" red food coloring. I used the red just for the fur. The crumb coat of buttercream was not colored. It doesn't take as much color as you think if you make it ahead and let it rest for an hour or so. The color deepens with the heat if your hand as you pipe the fur too!

  7. Mary, I used a Wilton grass tip (#233) and fairly soft buttercream. The stiffer the buttercream, the hard it is to do all that piping!
